Feilding Market

Last Friday the leaders of the whanau groups went to the Feilding market. We sold lemon syrup, elderflower cordial, lemon honey, walnuts and lemons. We chose these as we had a lemon theme and we wanted to use local produce. In the week before each whanau group worked with June to make our products. We had to figure out how we would present them on our stall, what the price would be and create labels and signs.
At the market everyone had a turn at selling on the stall and going and looking at he other market stalls. The stall looked good but it was a bit tricky to set up our stall with all of the wind and rain. Everyone bought heaps from the other market stalls. We sold $40 worth of our goods. We were pleased with this because we weren't there for long because of the weather.
It was fun ... even though it was a bit wet. We learnt that you have to be patient when you have a stall. It was great to talk to and sell to people from Feilding. They were very friendly.
After we had taken down our stall we went to the Feilding library to warm up with a hot chocolate and a book.
